Am I the only one who thinks this whole episode seems fishy? I really do hate being cynical, but, in this case, I'm afraid I have to be. Why haven't we heard from the pilot, or at least from an EMT or hospital that treated him? The passenger has also avoided media attention by having his friends claim that he's a "very private person." And not to diminish the accomplishment of landing an airplane with zero experience, but it wasn't as if he landed a U2 or a 787. I'm NOT a pilot, but I AM an aviation enthusiast. I can watch a one-hour video on Youtube and be confidently able to safely take off and land a Cessna 182. Please tell me if I'm wrong about this (I really hope I am, BTW), but I just can't shake the feeling that I've been duped. Again, the passenger deserves all the kudos and more if the events happened the way they were reported......but it just doesn't feel right.
