When I was stationed in Germany, 200 miles due east of Paris, my buddies and I went to the French capital a few times, and we never ventured to within five miles of Le Louvre or the Eiffel Tower; we found better use of our time in bars in the Paris outskirts. I've heard too many horror stories about ALL the European tourist traps, but I love the small villages in Germany, Benelux, France, Austria, and Spain. I can't wait to go back for a visit with my wife.
